For best results, be sure to target SMART goals. Success comes more readily when goals are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely. Some examples of SMART goals in the health and fitness world include:

  • Improving your pace by 10 seconds per mile
  • Losing one pound per week, and avoiding weight gain over the holidays
  • Trimming your tummy by an inch before the end of the year.
